Education is changing and options are more available than ever.

The most difficult challenge of taking full ownership of the most prized possession we own is dedicating the time and resources to ensure that these treasures we call our children, can flourish. What does that require? With two parents working two or multiple jobs to make the American dream come through we may have lost sight of the dream right in front of us. Just look down a few feet and there they are, ready to follow us wherever we lead them.

Margo and I were doing the same thing, chasing the dream and the two incomes it takes to make it happen, but along the way we got lost and felt the disenchantment of this pursuit within our careers and family life. We made a very hard but necessary decision to bring the kids home, to challenge ourselves to take full responsibility for their well being mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. It was the hardest time in our lives and cutting down to one income is no joke, but our little treasures were waiting for us to follow that hearts desire to bring the family together.

Since then, we have learned and grown as parents and educators and now help lead other families along their adventure, telling them just to hold on, encouraging them that this is the way. Yes, it’s hard, but the reward has been foretold by many wise parents from the past generation who made the same legendary choice to take full responsibility for their child’s well-being and lives to tell a great story of grown, successful kids carrying on the tradition.
