Elementary Program

Our elementary program for K-5th grade students provides exciting, hands-on projects that encourage skill building. As we focus on a broad theme, we will use play and making to explore the theme further and apply what we learn to our own projects. This play-based program is perfect for families that need that extra fun and inventive project time surrounded by friends, where we clean up the mess!

Class Description

Our elementary program focuses on hands-on activities that can range from simple crafts to building structures with various materials. Children are challenged to build, make, tape, cut, and play as they create their own awesome creations out of blocks, legos, cardboard, wood, fabric, or paper. Students also bring their own independent work to complete during our last 20 minutes of each day. It can be a book to read, math page to complete, or handwriting, whatever they can complete independently. At times we do forego this work time to play games together outside or play the classic "Heads Up 7-up" game together as a whole group K-8.

Our typical daily schedule:

9:30 - 9:40: arrive, free play and chat

9:40 - 10:00: clean up, K-8 announcements & sharing good things

10:00 - 10:45: read aloud and project time

10:45 - 11:10: bathroom and snack break

11:10 - 11:30: independent work time; pack up

11:30: See you next time!

Requirements

All students who love to craft, make and create will love this program! They will need to bring their own snack, water bottle, and independent work in a backpack each time.
