Whether you're looking to create a custom wire-wrapped pendant, hammer a unique metal design, or design your own bracelet, this class has something for everyone.

Throughout the course, you'll learn a wide variety of techniques, including wire-wrapping stones into pendants and rings, creating stunning chain maille designs, and shaping metal with hammers to add texture and flair to your pieces. You'll also experiment with making beautiful clay and paper beads and combine these with wire-wrapping techniques to craft one-of-a-kind jewelry.

By the end of the class, you'll have the skills and knowledge to design and create your own personalized jewelry. ThreadWorks: Introduction to Sewing & Apparel Design Semester 2 January to May

Class Description: Welcome to ThreadWorks, where creativity meets craftsmanship! This hands-on class is perfect for students who are new to sewing or have limited experience. In this course, students will explore the fundamentals of sewing, from machine basics to hand stitching, while getting an exciting introduction to apparel design and garment construction.

Throughout the semester, students will develop essential sewing skills, including fabric selection, pattern reading, and mastering various stitching techniques. They will create practical, fun projects like pillowcases, tote bags, and aprons, while also diving into the world of apparel design with their very own garment, such as a simple skirt or top.

ThreadWorks is a dynamic, creative space for both boys and girls, where they can learn a valuable, real-world skill that will last a lifetime. By the end of the course, students will have gained confidence in their sewing abilities and a solid understanding of the design process, allowing them to tackle more advanced sewing and design projects in the future.
